Carved from soft wood and left anchored to its raw edge, this sculpture was born from a 2025 journey to Cairns, where I first encountered these dinosaur-like, majestic Australian birds. In October 2025, their striking presence - both ancient and powerful - won 1st Place, in the 'relief carving' category, at the Bribie Art Competition
